You maybe wondering, what was our REACTIONS to the new home improvement project completed by CAROLINA WINDOWS & DOORS? We had a wide range of emotions yet this photo captured it all! Our joy, excitement, surprise, and blessed feeling all were expressed once they completed the entire home improvement project!  Of course, I recorded a couple of short videos of the project too! Here is one of the videos. So let us know what you think about the renovation of our home after 18 years. We would appreciate your feedback and input as well.      

  As Empty Nesters, MrsB and I needed to make an investment into our home after 18 years raising 3 children and giving everything to them throughout their years of education from primary school, middle school, high school, and college. Now that they are independently making their way in their young professional lives, Mrs B and I have turned much of our attention on us!  We therefore decided to start investing into our home. Our first home improvement project was to change out our roof and we found an excellent contractor to do a FANTASTIC job (Wells Roofing). Our next home improvement project was to change out ALL of our 32 windows and 2 doors. That's when we called CAROLINA WINDOWS & DOOR! Mr. Brad Bailey came out to our home in November and explained the entire process and production of their windows and doors to us. We were very IMPRESSED and he was such a nice person!   Yesterday, we were invited to a SPECIAL EVENT at a local store in which PeeDee the Pirate - ECU Mascot - was appearing and getting folks to check out the new Optimum store! Well, as EMPTY NESTERS, we had the time to check out this special event and we were PLEASANTLY SURPRISED that PeeDee the Pirate was there and we had a great time hangin' out with him! PeeDee the Pirate was SO COOL and allowed us to take a few photos with him.  We also appreciate the two gentlemen outside the store for taking our photos with PeeDee the PIRATE!!   Here we are again! DrB and MrsB on our ROAD TRAVELS checking out all the new restaurants in our area. Just so happens that the Chick-fil-A in our area of Winterville, NC remodeled and expanded their store off of Memorial Drive in Winterville!  Well, now they are OPEN and we wanted to CHECK IT OUT to see why the lines of cars are so long at this new REMODELED Chick-fil-A restaurant! Once we arrived, it seemed so much more professional and they highlighted their CATERING SERVICE right up front!  As we drove around the side, we noticed the new CANOPY addition! It allows for the workers outside to have a covering over their heads and it looks so much more PROFESSIONAL! (What do you think?) The gentleman who took our order was very professional and enthusiastic with the remodeled store!   Wow! Talk about another brand new business opening up on FireTower Road - Seven Brew (7B) - Drive Thru Coffee - just opened up in February and it's a HIT! There have been so much new development along Firetower road on the border of Greenville and Winterville that many folks are wondering what new business will open up next. Driving along Firetower road, we finally saw one of three new businesses in front of the AMC theatre open up in early February and it was Seven Brew (7B) Drive Thru Coffee. Initially, MrsB and I were very skeptical about this new business because it was completely different than what we anticipated. Yet as the days rolled by in February, we saw more and more cars and visitors frequent Seven Brew! Quite naturally, we had to make plans to visit Seven Brew this weekend and WOW -- what a Fantastic experience! As soon as we drove up in line, we can hear the music JAMMING from main area and the festive lights around the building makes you feel uplifting and relax! ...

  On October 11th, 2023, we visited a local restaurant at NC State University in Raleigh, NC called the "PLAYERS RETREAT." While visiting our youngest professional adult, Marcus, who is attending Graduate School at NC State (Wolfpack) in the College of Natural Resources, we decided to check out the local restaurant right off of Hillsborough and next to the main campus of NC State University! We ordered a salad along with their specialty of CLUB SANDWICHES which includes ham, turkey, chicken, bacon, and lettuce served with a heap of fries!  Of course, I had to supplement my order with one of their local beers too! Haha! Overall, we give the PLAYERS RETREAT an EXCELLENT rating because it is a classic College-style restaurant with all the NC State memorabilia, sports memorabilia, big TV Screens, and foods that college students and families love to eat!
