Road Travel - Visit to Local Restaurant at NC State and Raleigh, NC - "Players Retreat"

 

On October 11th, 2023, we visited a local restaurant at NC State University in Raleigh, NC called the "PLAYERS RETREAT." While visiting our youngest professional adult, Marcus, who is attending Graduate School at NC State (Wolfpack) in the College of Natural Resources, we decided to check out the local restaurant right off of Hillsborough and next to the main campus of NC State University!

We ordered a salad along with their specialty of CLUB SANDWICHES which includes ham, turkey, chicken, bacon, and lettuce served with a heap of fries!


 Of course, I had to supplement my order with one of their local beers too! Haha!


Overall, we give the PLAYERS RETREAT an EXCELLENT rating because it is a classic College-style restaurant with all the NC State memorabilia, sports memorabilia, big TV Screens, and foods that college students and families love to eat! The staff at PLAYERS RETREAT were Fantastic and they really go out their way to make your dinning experience FUN, RELAXING, and ENGAGED with whatever sport is going on at the time. When we were there, we watched Carolina Hurricane hockey game and it was FUN!

So if you travel to Raleigh, NC and venture close to the campus of NC State University, check out the "PLAYERS RETREAT" - located at 105 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27605!

DrB and MrsB ready for HALLOWEEN and the Trick or Treaters!

  It's that time of the year in which we participate in the annual HALLOWEEN night of Trick or Treaters coming to our home and we are more than willing to give out candy to our neighborhood kids. In fact, we have been doing this for decades since we had our own 3 kids participating in Halloween night and going trick or treating too! Indeed, we miss those days helping our three kids get dressed up in their individual outfits going door-to-door asking for candy. Then to see their faces and hear their voices talking about how much fun they had going trick or treating!! Those are special moments in life that we will ALWAYS cherish! BAILEY HOME FRESH SUMMER MEAL - SAUTEED BELL PEPPER SALAD WITH ASIAN NOODLES

  Finally, it's the SUMMERTIME and we are only one week away from the July 4th Holiday Extravaganza! Of course, we will be venturing around the countryside this summer yet before we get on the road, we have been COOKING up some of our new - "BAILEY HOME FRESH SUMMER MEALS!"  Our latest meal is called, "Sauteed Bell Pepper Salad with Asian Noodles!" Talk about DELICIOUS, it really hit the spot and it was so easy to make! Quite naturally, I used my new Wok to sauteed the bell peppers and provide that extra flair to the cooking!
