DrB and MrsB Empty Nesters LifeStyle

  On May 16th, we visited the GRAND OPENING of the new grocery store  - LOWES FOODS in WINTERVILLE, NC!! Wow! What an event! After months of construction and anticipation by many of us in the neighborhoods in the area, LOWES FOODS finally opened their doors to customers and it was a BIG HIT!! Talk about fun, FESTIVE, EXCITING, and GREAT FOOD along with their beverages, we were very IMPRESSED!  Once we were inside the Lowes Foods grocery, the scenery was even more festive, coastal-looking with bright colors, and interactive with the staff! They were giving away special treats and customers  enjoyed the environment! Check it out! So if you want to experience a different type of grocery store which offers specialty foods and drinks, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND - LOWES FOODS!!

  Mrs B is BACK and returned from her Mother's Day visit to Durham to visit our daughter - Ebony! What a spectacular trip it was on the Amtrak train and special Mother/Daughter gathering in Durham! After MrsB returned, she informed me that they had a FABULOUS time checking out the local scenery and events in downtown Durham such as the museum, shops, and eateries! In fact, MrsB and Ebony attended an exclusive cellist concert in one of the swanky venues in downtown Durham!! Here is a photo of MrsB with our daughter - Ebony!! So after all the fun Mother & Daughter activities, MrsB returned home via a local Lyft transportation to the train station in Durham and THEN the ride on the Amtrak train from Durham to Wilson, NC.! Here is MrsB getting right off the Amtrak train in Wilson! By the way, a big THANK YOU to Amtrak!   Hey Folks -- This is DrB with my review of the local STARBUCKS restaurant on Firetower Road on the border of Greenville/Winterville. Usually, MrsB joins me in the reviews yet this time, MrsB had another scheduled event so I went ahead and visited this Starbucks by myself. Yes, this is the Starbucks that is on the busy FireTower road in which so many new businesses have and will open up this year!!  In fact, this Starbucks opened up just in early 2023 (I believe) with so much mystery from our local neighbors. We did not know what it was going to be until they finally put the sign on the side of their large box facility right before it opened.  This is a LARGE Starbucks restaurant which has TWO Drive-thrus and a LARGE INSIDE area in which you can RELAX and drink your Starbucks and order their FOOD. Whether by yourself, with friends, or with your kids, this STARBUCKS restaurant is the PLACE to go and hang out! Oh yeah, they also have places OUTSIDE to sit down with umbrell...
